We encourage partners! This class is a first come,
first serve by gender. This class will be strictly enforcing the appropriate male/female ratio, so the kids can learn proper
ballroom/latin dancing.
Attire: Guys - Dress pants and Collared Shirt Girls - Nice Party Dress or Skirt that allows for
movement.
The 5th - 12th grade
kids & teens will learn partnered dance. These Middle & High School kids are learning social dances with their favorite
songs while having fun! This program allows teens to learn proper social dance graces and beginning basics of Ballroom Dance
such as how to dance with partners (leading and following). They are learning a little bit about the history but more about
the moves and how to twist and turn and have good wholesome fun with their friends. Other Dances we teach: Swing, Cha Cha, Salsa, Waltz, Foxtrot, Hustle, Tango, Rumba, Mambo, Polka and more… BENEFITS: Benefits of learning
this style of dance is learning how to move as an individual, with partners and as a group and gain a sense of grace, coordination
and social confidence. This style of dance is developed to enhance social skills while learning partnered dancing. If you are interested and the class session has already started, please call for
enrollment. The dance styles will be taught and repeated during the course of the program in preparation for a teen social
dance.Performance Date: TBA during session. Approximately the first week of December for
Fall & first week of May for Spring.
Practice Dance Party - last day of class. This will be for the students to dance and have fun. Each student may invite 1 guest with them
to the dance party. There will be an hour of music of the dances thay have learned in class, some line dance and lots of fun
and laughter! (We will ask for a couple
