Other traditional or fun fist dances that can be quite memorable include; Tango, Waltz or Salsa

FAQs

 --- Bride & Groom First Dance ---

Do you have the song picked out for your first dance?
Chances are it is usually a Foxtrot or a Rumba and sometimes a Waltz. When you bring the song in to your lessons we can listen to it and help you decide what style will fit the music best and which dance best suits your needs. You will learn steps and have your choice if you would like basic choreography to help you remember a routine or just "wing it". Looking for something a little more exciting? Try Tango.

Do either of you have to dance with a parent?
Often times this song is a Rumba or Waltz. Even learning 1 or 2 basic steps will get you through this.

Do you want to learn a fast dance so the bride will be able to be twirled around at your wedding? Swing is the dance to learn. This is the most popular dance and with knowing the basic step and 2 different spins you will be able to use this at friends & family receptions too

Have you left yourself time for the fun of dance lessons? For a really smooth comfortable looking first dance, you need to give yourself between 3-6 months of dance practice. With so much planning to do for the big day, you don't want to put off one of the most important dances of your life together.

--- Parents of the Bride & Groom ---

Will you be dancing with your daughter or son and have either of you decided what song?
Often times this song is a Rumba or Waltz. You will learn a few basic steps and either how to lead or how to follow. This will also be a dance you will be able to use with your spouse or dancing with other family members or friends.

--- Wedding Guests ---

What dances should we learn for the wedding?

Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba & ChaCha

These are dances you will not only be able to easily use for the wedding but any social occasion where there is dancing.

If the music provided is by a live band, chances are you will be doing a lot of Foxtrot & Swing.

If the music provided is by a DJ, then you will have and combination of Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba & Cha Cha.

You can find a group lesson that teaches these dances or choose private lessons.
